The main KOA “Bayit” – Chalet des Jumelles, as well as additional apartments and hotel rooms for our participants, are all in the Les Pecles neighborhood, and all are within a 5-7 minutes walk of each other.
Larres, Spain
The house El Churron is located in Larres, a typical mountain town, between Sabinanigo, Biescas and Jaca (Huesca) in the Aragonese Pyrenees. It has 13 rooms each with its bathroom and individually decorated, living room of 100 m2 with fully equipped kitchen and dining room for large groups of up to 35 people. The adjoining El Churron Hotel provides us with additional rooms for participants and staff.
The kitchen will be for KOA’s exclusive kosher use. Featuring a huge terrace and garden, the house is ideal for lovers of nature and outdoor sports, and is ideal for group gatherings.
El Churron is surrounded by mountains and is an ideal point to visit the Pyrenees, Ordesa National Park, Tena and Aragon Valleys. The area is very quiet, and it invites relaxation and contact with nature.
The house is built with typical materials from the area: stone, wood and wrought iron. All rooms are exterior, very spacious and bright, most with balcony. Each room has its own bathroom with shower, flat screen TV, parquet floor, built-in wardrobe and desk.
The hotel rooms are simple, each decorated with its own style. Equipment: full bathroom with bath, TV, individual heating, built-in wardrobe and desk. All are exterior with views of the mountain or the town of Larres. Most have a balcony.
Lake Bohinj, Slovenia
Offering a panoramic view of the Julian Alps, Apartments Bohinj Mavrica is located in the quiet, pastoral village of Stara Fuzina, 450m from Lake Bohinj at the edge of Triglav National Park. It features a wellness area with an Infra red and Finnish sauna.
Each apartment contains a large balcony with a view over Lake Bohinj, a fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom and shower. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi are also available in all apartments.
Food
KOA is committed to providing kosher plentiful and varied meals, with a focus on health and nutrition. There is a flood of fresh vegetables and local fresh fish. Food for three daily meals and snacks are included. Fully prepared daily breakfast, dinner and all Seudot Shabbat will be eaten together at the KOA Bayit. Participants prepare and pack a lunch at the Bayit.
What’s Included?
KOA provides complete arrangements for transportation, accommodations, group activities, meals, snacks, optional daily davening and Shabbat. Airfare, airport transfers, travel insurance, optional activities and basic tips are not included.
You will stay either in the KOA Bayit, the main hub, a very large chalet or rural house with a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and common areas, or in an apartment or hotel room within ten minutes walking distance of the KOA Bayit. Accommodations are on a double occupancy basis. Single occupancy is available with payment of an additional single room supplement. Bedrooms will have either twin beds or a double bed. Linens and self-service laundry are provided. In Spain and in Chamonix, your room will have its own private bathroom. In Slovenia, you will share an apartment with another couple, or choose the private apartment supplement option.
